A revised 7th edition of the Sterling Forest Trails map now includes trail mileage numbers on the face of the map.  The map features more than 170 miles of marked trails in Sterling Forest State Park and adjoining parklands, including more than 18 miles each of the Appalachian Trail and Highlands Trail.Printed in vibrant color on waterproof and tear-resistant Tyvek, the revised, digitally-produced Sterling Forest Trails map is a must-have for enjoying and exploring the outdoor opportunities in Sterling Forest State Park.

The trail mileage numbers provide distances between trail junctions and significant trail features to make it easier to plan trips and navigate the trails safely.  This revised edition also contains the new Doris Duke Trail and several other trail changes, adjustments to viewpoints, and more accurate depictions of many stream crossings.  Additional  corrections and adjustments to the trails and map features make this 7th edition of Sterling Forest Trails even more accurate than before.

The map includes UTM gridlines, green overprint for public access lands, delineation of hunting areas, parking areas, viewpoints and other points of interest.  As always, the map is printed in vibrant color on waterproof, tear-resistant Tyvek.

About the Map Makers

The production of the Sterling Forest Trails map set, much like our other trail maps, was a great collaborative effort involving many volunteers, parks partners, and Trail Conference staff. Created over the course of a couple years and with an enormous number of volunteer hours, this map set is one of the biggest single map projects the Trail Conference has undertaken. Read more about the primary contributors to this map set.
