Trail Conference Headquarters Gone Wild(Flowers)

With native wildflowers in bloom, Trail Conference Headquarters is buzzing with life.

Much like the landscape invites in wildlife and pollinators, the Trail Conference welcomes nature enthusiasts to enjoy the beautiful landscape and learn about the benefits of planting native species.

This native landscape was designed by landscape architect Rich Pillar and is maintained by a group of gardening volunteers known as the Habitat Helpers.

Going native in your home garden is beneficial to wildlife and can help create a low-maintenance landscape.

Looking to learn more about native plants and gardening? Join us for an upcoming native plant landscaping workday at Trail Conference Headquarters (600 Ramapo Valley Rd., Mahwah, NJ):

• Friday, September 1: 9 a.m. - noon
• Sunday, September 24: 1 p.m. - 3 p.m.
• Sunday, October 29: 10 a.m. - noon

Wildflowers Art Exhibition

The best way to enjoy the beauty of wildflowers is through collecting art instead of petals. While you're here, be sure to visit the Wildflowers Art Exhibition on display in our gallery. This juried show features nearly 40 paintings, drawings, and photographs depicting or inspired by flowers. Most of the works can be purchased. The artists will donate a portion of the purchase price to benefit the work and programs of the Trail Conference. The exhibit is open to the public through September 28 during regular Trail Conference hours, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday through Saturday.
