DEC Volunteer Applications are required for all volunteers on DEC land. There are two types of forms:
Individual Volunteer Application
This application is for volunteers who participate in long-term opportunities where they'll be volunteering on DEC lands for a timespan of more than five (5) consecutive days, such as Trail Maintainers, Shelter Caretakers, Trail Stewards, Invasives Surveyors, Trail Supervisors, and Trail Chairs. Limited Use Volunteer Application
This application is for episodic volunteers who are volunteering for a short period of time; up to, but no more than five (5) consecutive days. Examples of appropriate use of this application include: trail crew work trips, trail or shelter maintenance work trips, or other ad-hoc volunteer trips.
