| Webmaster Intern for Darlington Schoolhouse Website |
We have a college student internship available (5-10 hours per week, including Wednesday afternoons) to design, update and manage the Darlington Schoolhouse website. Experience in website design, especially Drupal/ content management systems and PHP scripting language is desired.
Must have good communication skills, be self-motivated, and able to work independently with weekly supervision. Interest in hiking/trails/environment and community outreach a plus. |
| Land Use Research Assistant for Darlington Schoolhouse Project |
Familiar with New Jersey land use regulations? Like to read site plans? Here’s a great opportunity to put your skills to work for the Trail Conference. Compile data on NJ DEP, Bergen County, and Mahwah policies and regulations regarding flood plains, Highlands Act, site plan review, and RSIS; develop contacts at these agencies. Research and collect materials and information needed to rehabilitate the Darlington Schoolhouse. Help prepare applications for building permits and approvals. |
| Public Relations Coordinator for the Darlington Schoolhouse |
Use your communications skills to write press releases, coordinate distribution to the press and promote the project at community events. |
| Darlington School House Site Manager |
Visit the schoolhouse on a regular basis to ensure the site is secure from vandalism, identify on-site needs, and building repairs as needed. Diplomacy, attention to detail, volunteer supervision and basic repair skills are needed. |
| Construction Representative |
During the construction phase of the adaptive reuse of the schoolhouse we need an individual to monitor the activity of any contractor or sub-contractor on site to ensure that the work is being performed accordance with blue prints. Ability to read blue prints, construction supervision experience and attention to detail are needed. |
| Archive Manager |
Use your organizational skills to archive and organize the Darlington Schoolhouse archives. |
| Volunteer Manager |
We need a volunteer a few hours a week to coordinate our volunteer efforts. People and organizational skills would be needed to communicate with potential and existing volunteers. |
