The Trail Conference's Annual Meeting & Capital Campaign Kickoff events will be Sunday, October 31st at Skylands Manor NJ, 10:30 a.m.-5:00 p.m.

See transportation instructions. Reservation is requested by October 15th so refreshments can be ordered. Limited Space is available for this event.

Hikes & Tours:

(All hikes & tours will begin at the Skylands Manor Carriage House. The hikes go through Ringwood State Park)

  • Long hike: 10:30 a.m.-1:15 p.m.
  • Intermediate Hike: 11:30 a.m.-1:15 p.m.
  • Short hike: 12:30 p.m.-1:15 p.m. 
  • Garden Tour: 1:00 p.m.-2:00 p.m. (for those not attending the annual meeting)
  • Manor Tour annouced in Trail Walker cancelled

Annual Meeting: 1:15 p.m.-2:00 p.m. (Skylands Manor Lower Ballroom)

The meeting will include an awards ceremony and board and delegate elections. See candidates below.

Connecting People with Nature Campaign (Skylands Manor)

Learn about the campaign to:

  • Permanently protect critical trail corridors that link public open spaces;
  • Increase volunteer capacity while rehabilitating the Bear Mountain trails, and
  • Create a computerized mapping system.

Reception with refreshments: 2:00 p.m.- 3:15 p.m.

(This reception will include exhibits featuring recent TC accomplishments and volunteer opportunities in addition to campaign initiatives)

Campaign Briefing: 3:15 p.m.-4:00 p.m. (Upper Ballroom)

Concert: McMule 4:00 p.m.-5:00 p.m.

Six musicians, with varying musical influences ranging from Bluegrass to Jazz, from Folk to Funk, Celtic, Blues, Rock and beyond.  Original, Improvisational, Spontaneous & Fun... HIGH ENERGY ACOUSTIC MUSIC.

Limited NYNJTC shuttle service will be provided for those arriving by Train or Bus at the Suffern, NY bus/train stations.

Two shuttles will run from Suffern, NY to Skylands:

  • 10:10 a.m.
  • 12:40 p.m.

One shuttle will run from Skylands to Suffern, NY:

  • 5:40 p.m.
