Hike-a-thon Saturday, October 4

New Map of Shawangunk Ridge Trail

The 40+ mile SRT is still a work in progress, but thanks to Trail Conference volunteers the trail has reached a point where it can be enjoyed by hikers. A map of the trail is available for downloading in three 8 x 10-inch segments here.
Annual Meeting Set for October 18

Trails News Correction
According to an official from Sterling Forest State Park, the announcement, reported in the current issue of Trail Walker, that the new Red Back Loop trail is open was premature. It is not. More details will be posted on the trail news page of our website when they are available.
Poised for ATV Victory in New Jersey
State legislators return from recess in 2 weeks and the ATV bill will hit the full Assembly and Senate Transportation committee for votes. Help the TC persuade legislators and Governor Corzine that NJ needs this legislation to protect its citizens. Read more and volunteer.
