Volunteer

Our primary "employment" of people is dedicated volunteers. We do whatever we can with volunteers. Some jobs are better suited to internships, part-time, full-time or contract employees (see below).

Internship Positions

Internships differ from volunteer positions in that they are like an unpaid job with an expected educational benefit to the applicant.

Paid Trail Conference

From time to time the Trail Conference has employment opportunities. They are posted here.

Contractors

Publications

The Trail Conference sometimes contracts out various jobs, particularly related to publications.

• We accept manuscripts for evaluation and possible publication (trail related).
• Graphic designers of books, maps, brochures, kiosks, etc.
• Publication layout, word processing, proofreading, indexing
• Cartographers

Workshops/Trainers

The Trail Conference occasionally employs specialists to help train our volunteers, e.g. chainsaw certification, first aid. They usually run one or two day workshops on weekends. We keep a list of potential workshop leaders. E-mail
