Preface

February, 2000

The NY-NJ Trail Conference's Trail Management Guide was originally designed to train new trail supervisors. However, it was realized that it would benefit all trail managers as it would have all reproducible forms and be a way of making sure everyone had the correct forms.

It is designed to accommodate change and so, in a sense, it will never be completely finished. To keep the guide current, your assistance is needed. Each time something is revised, such as a maintainer list, you will need to replace it. When you resign from your position, we ask that you pass it along to your successor.

Jane and Walt Daniels developed and assembled the notebook. Stella Green initially designed many of the forms. Bob Jonas made suggestions of items to include.
