TechnologyCharge to committeeOversee, advise, and implement where necessary NYNJTC's use of technology to support efficient business operations, timely management information, professional productivity, and effective electronic communications between NYNJTC staff/volunteers, members, member clubs, trail partners and the public. The committee will also supply consulting and training for staff and volunteers in the use of selected programs. Scope of Technology CommitteeAlthough the committee will primarily deal with computer hardware and software, they may also advise on telephones, telephone services, faxes, copiers, etc. to the extent that they affect efficient operation. The office runs 100baseT ethernet connecting, via switches and a hub, all of the above machines in a peer-to-peer network. The office has a Netopia router/firewall that connects to the Internet via Cable Modem. Office SoftwareThe office runs MS Office (Word) 2000 as their primary wordprocessor. The accounting is done on QuickBooks Pro 2002 with 5 shared licenses. The office runs eBase for membership and donor tracking.
